Dorothy “Dot” Mitchell founded Laser Skincare Solutions in 2002. She holds an MS in Nursing from the University of Colorado and an MBA in Health Care Management from Boston University. Over the past 20+ years, Dot has worked in major health systems (Children’s Hospital, BWH, BMC, Mt. Sinai) and served as Clinical Education Director at Candela Corporation, where she built and led laser‐training programs for physicians and their staff.
A longtime educator, Dot has taught nursing at UMass, Mass Bay CC, Downstate Medical Center, Cornell, Hunter College and MGH Institute of Health Professions.
She continues to train providers in lasers and injectables—having treated thousands of patients with neurotoxins, fillers, Kybella, Sculptra, and more—and has helped define aesthetic nursing practice through her testimony before the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing. Under her leadership, LSCS has expanded from laser hair removal and vascular treatments to comprehensive skin rejuvenation, body contouring, weight management, and specialty services like PRP and TMJ therapy.
